The Autel MaxiCharger AC Elite Home 50A is a premium, high-performance Level 2 electric vehicle charger engineered for North American homes and extreme climate environments. Capable of delivering up to 12 kW of power (240V @ 50A), it provides fast residential charging—adding up to 78 km (48 miles) of range per hour, which is up to 9 times faster than standard Level 1 trickle chargers.

Featuring a sleek dark gray enclosure with an in-body holster and a 25-foot charging cable, the Elite Home 50A is built to endure harsh Canadian weather with a NEMA 4X water/dust rating and cold-weather operation down to -40°C (-40°F). Equipped with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and dynamic load balancing (DLB), it allows for total control and energy scheduling through the Autel Charge Mobile App.

Key Product Features & Core Technology

  • 12 kW Rapid Level 2 Charging: Delivers up to 50 Amps of continuous current on a dedicated circuit, adding up to 78 km (48 miles) of range per hour of charge.

  • Flexible Amperage Control: Output current can be dynamically adjusted via internal DIP switches or the Autel Charge App (16A, 24A, 32A, 40A, 48A, or 50A) to match household electrical panel capacity.

  • Rugged NEMA 4X & IK10 Weatherproofing: Built with heavy-duty weather and impact resistance, tested to operate flawlessly in extreme conditions from -40°C to +55°C.

  • Smart App & Connectivity Hub: Connects via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, CAN, and RS485. Allows users to schedule off-peak charging, track energy bills, adjust current, and receive real-time notifications.

  • Dynamic Load Balancing (DLB): Integrated load management prevents home circuit overloads by automatically adjusting charger output relative to total household power consumption.

  • Smart AI Voice Control: Fully compatible with Siri and Autel's AI voice assistant for hands-free start/stop and charging status checks.

  • Safety & Rebate Certified: Fully CSA C22.2 certified for Canadian electrical safety standards and ENERGY STAR certified for peak energy efficiency and utility rebate eligibility.

Safety & Installation Guidelines

Electrical Circuit Requirements: A dedicated 60 Amp double-pole circuit breaker is required to continuously operate the charger at its maximum 50 Amp output setting (per the 80% continuous load rule under NEC / Canadian Electrical Code).

Hardwire Installation: For maximum 50A output and outdoor durability, hardwired installation by a licensed electrician is required.

Cold Weather Cable Care: While rated for -40°C, extreme sub-zero temperatures may cause rubber cables to stiffen. Uncoil the cable prior to freezing rain or heavy snowfall to prevent kinking.
